Information

Considerably lighter than conventional ironing boards, fitted with a unique ironing surface - the Leifheit Air Board S Compact. Its special cover with Thermo-Reflect technology reflects steam and heat from the iron instead of allowing it to soak through the ironing surface. Thanks to the double-sided ironing effect, the laundry is ironed both sides at the same time. This reduces ironing time by up to a third and laundry is visibly smoother. Opening and closing the Air Board S Compact is easy as it is equipped with an ironing surface made from a special ultra-light plastic. This makes the Air Board S Compact lighter than any other conventional expanded metal ironing board. The ironing surface is 110 x 30 cm and rests on a completely stable frame that can stabilise on uneven floors. Height adjustable, the board can be raised to a maximum working height of 88 cm. It is equipped with a fixed solid iron rest and a cable holder. Thermo-reflect technology makes this ironing board ideal for use with standard irons and steam irons.

Light and stable

I have arthritis and have really struggled with finding an ironing board which is light, stable and a reasonable size. This is perfect for me. Easy to order, delivery was good. The only issue (hence 4 stars not 5) is the cable pole which cannot be removed. It seems unnecessary and a little bit in the way but it doesn’t outweigh the other benefits. Airboard S compact.

Lightweight but sturdy, great quality, neat and easy to use, highly recommend.

We had the biggest, heaviest ironing board and little storage space. Considering what we needed, we didn't actually require such a big board. The size is just right for us (even though we are a family of five) and now I don't dread dragging out the old ironing board or putting it away that felt like such an effort. It's sturdy, easy/squeak-free mechanism is blissful, I can carry/lift the board so easily and it's easy to store or have propped up without it getting in the way/looking out of place.
